Immortality: The Origin by anveshdunna Immortality: The Origin by anveshdunna
Immortality: The Origin

There is no limit to man's greed, be it today or even many ages before what you might call the ancient period... There was a time when gods had to fight the demons for the power and the never ending war witnessed this unusual scenario, where gods and demons, according to the Hindu Mythology, had to get together for the ultimate destiny- immortality.
Here, we can see them churn the Ocean of Milk with the enormous Mount Mandaranchal using the holy snake Vasuki Naag as the rope and Kurma, the tortoise avatar of Lord Vishnu, as its base to get the holy nectar, the source of immortality...

OMG ... I finally completed this work with patience.

This is my contest entry for
Myths and Legends: An Illustration Contest.
Hope u all like it :)

Hi, Anveshdunna. Your painting is really powerful. I've read the comments, and you agreed it could look so much better with more Devas and details. Aren't you planning to reversion this picture?
It is the most beautiful I've seen of Vasuki and the Ocean of milk churning. It'd be great if you improved it.
I'll use it to illustrate Mahabharata. Congratulations, wonderful job.
